You will meet your driver at the Port of Naples and making your way to Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri from Naples port. leaving the Port you will have in front of you one of the most important square in Naples, dominated by the Maschio Angioino, a massive Castle built in 1279. Here during the works for the subway the Roman port, with ships, amphoras and thermal baths came to light. driving south you will reach the highway driving towards Pompeii. You will be close to Mount Vesuvius, an active volcano, last eruption was in March 1944, on the opposite site you will enjoy the view on the entire bay of Naples, with its islands: Capri, Ischia and Procida and the Sorrento Peninsula. Our first stop will be Pompeii, the ancient Roman city destroyed by a terrible eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79AD. Here you will see the remains of the city and its highlights: the Forum with all the public buildings,the Curia, the Basilica, Apollo's Temple, the Eumachia Building, the Macellum; the original roads with shops and houses, the Theater, the Lupanare, preserved stuccoes and mosaics and you will not miss the plaster casts of the victims, caught in their last moments.
After the visit, you continue the visit of Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri from Naples port. Your driver will take you to the city of Sorrento along a beautiful coastal road for a panoramic tour. You will reach the main piazza called Piazza Tasso, named after a very famous Italian poet born here, and you will have free time for a walk. Sorrento is famous for a lemon drink called Limoncello, for the inlaind wood/marquetterie that you will find in its picturesque historical center rich in little shops and gelaterias. The visit to Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri from Naples port continues to the local harbor where you will catch the jetfoil to the beautiful island of Capri. Capri is the closest island to the Sorrento peninsula and is even the most famous among the islands of the Mediterranean. In 25 minutes, you will desembarc in Marina Grande, ancient fishermen village that became the port of the island.
From here you can catch the funicular, a cableway connecting the port with the famous Piazzetta, the center of Capri. The trip last few minutes but the view is stunning. This little square is surrounded by Seventeenth Century buildings, Santo Stefano’s Cathedral, its floor comes from Villa Jovis, the Emperor Tiberius villa, by Palazzo Cerio dating back the Thirteen hundreds, the Clock tower and many cafeterias that became "The World's Living Room". The time for a walk along the amazing via Camerelle, main shopping street or a drink and then back to the port to catch the jetfoil to Naples Beverello.
